Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Makes: 10 slices
2cup whole wheat flour
4tbs baking powder
1/4tsp sea salt
1/4tsp ground nutmeg
1 1/2cup mashed overripe bananas
1/2cup maple syrup or molasses
1/2cup neutral vegetable oil
1tsp vanilla extract
1/2cup chocolate chips or nuts (or both)
Preheat the oven to 160C. Line a large (mine is about 22x10cm) loaf pan with baking paper.
In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients.
Add all the wet ingredients into another bowl, whisking it together.
Add your dry ingredients into the wet and give it a good mix, add chocolate chips or nuts and mix it through the batter evenly.
Transfer the batter into the baking tin and bake it in the over for about 40-50 min.
You might need less time or more, depending on the oven, so keep an eye on it after 30 minutes of baking.
